Hello! My name is Alex Krempely and I am a Social Studies teacher at Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. My educational journey began when I graduated from Grinnell College in 2013 with a degree in History and teaching certifications in History and English as a Second Language (ESL). Following my matriculation, I was awarded a post-graduate teaching fellowship in Nanjing, China. This year abroad sparked my passion for international education. In the following years, I have traveled the world and taught in the United States, China, and Spain. In these different environments, I have pushed myself to teach new subjects, including IB History (HL), AP U.S. History, AP Human Geography, Civics, English Literature, ESL, Drama, and more.
Next year, I will be teaching IB Geography at Branksome Hall Asia on Jeju Island, South Korea. With my master's degree in Education Administration from the University of Lincoln - Nebraska, I am actively seeking new leadership opportunities to positively impact school operations on a larger scale. My particular areas of interest include building school culture and community, new teacher onboarding and appraisals, and equitable procedures for diverse student populations.
